
APRIL 2022: MAPLE British Columbia Spring Event 2022
At our MAPLE B.C. Spring Meeting our focus turned to the future of the Internet and the opportunities ahead for enterprises to participate in the emerging metaverse. MAPLE B.C. Executive Director Jason Tse spoke with Vancouver studio executives who are active in this space from LNG Studios and Shape Immersive. Jason also provides an update on the growth of the MAPLE Business Council community.

At our Southern California Winter Reception on December 7, Jill Hurley, Director Global Trade Consulting at Livingston International, profiled forced labor goods customs enforcement in the U.S. with suggestions for companies to examine their own supply chains and John Griffin, President of Canada’s largest independent benefits firm, Sterling Capital Brokers, discusses the benefits landscapes in Canada and the U.S.

NOV 2021: MAPLE New York Virtual Fall Event
On November 17, MAPLE New York Executive Director John Costanzo hosted the Fall Event for our New York Chapter which focused on sustainable energy initiatives in New York State. We were honored to have Québec Delegate General Martine Hébert of the Québec Government Office in New York share opening remarks before an expert panel discussion with Carrie Hitt of the National Offshore Wind Research & Development Consortium, Peter Rose of Hydro Québec and Darren Suarez of Boralex. John provided an update on the growth of MAPLE Business Council including new and renewing members and our latest content.

On September 9, 2021, we hosted our Southern California Fall Reception in-person at the Irvine offices of IP law firm, Knobbe Martens, and online on our Remo platform. After concurrent networking, MAPLE co-founders Robert Kelle and Stephen Armstrong provided an update on the MAPLE community followed by presentations by Ontario Trade & Investment and High Impact Firm Advisory Services of the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC).

On June 3, MAPLE Business Council hosted its Summer Reception featuring presentations by members, AFEX and QA Consultants. MARCH 2021: MAPLE New York Virtual Spring Event 2021
Our first networking & content program since we launched our New York Chapter brought together members, partners and guests for virtual table-to-table networking before we heard from Purolator International SVP, Paul Tessy, on finding resiliency in Canada-U.S. logistics during the pandemic and from Toronto Stock Exchange executives Delilah Panio, VP U.S. Capital Formation and Reid Hamilton, U.S. Advisor, on the opportunities to raise public venture capital on the Toronto exchanges. MAPLE New York Executive Director, John Costanzo, hosted the program and shared an update on the growth of MAPLE Business Council.

We were honored to welcome an expert panel from all three signatory nations including Acting Consul General of Canada in New York, Khawar Nasim, Deputy Consul General of Mexico in New York, Rita Maria Vargas Torregrosa and Commercial Officer Catherine Muth of the U.S. Commercial Service.
